Boffi and Maxalto Now Offer a Lifestyle Concept in Georgetown Showroom
Two Italian design firms have joined forces to create a kitchen, bathroom and furniture destination under one roof in Cady’s Alley.
Maxalto, part of the B&B Italia family, joined Boffi Georgetown showroom where the duo will offer a lifestyle concept that includes Boffi's technically superior and streamlined kitchen, bathroom and wardrobe systems and Maxalto's comprehensive line of interior furnishings designed and coordinated by furniture and industrial designer Antonio Citterio.
This is the first of its kind collaboration between two Italian design firms in the Washington, D.C. area
Among Boffi’s latest designs are the CTline modular storage systems created by Victor Vasilev, who was inspired by profiles of city buildings to create these versatile shelving units. Designed for commercial and residential use, the Quadtwo lacquered sink by Jeffrey Bernett provides options for tight spaces with drawers on the front and side.
Also displayed in the showroom is the new Brompton system by Piero Lissoni, a bookcase structure made of aluminum uprights and shelves. The system is suitable for kitchen, bathroom, living and sleeping areas.
Maxalto now includes a wide range of products with shapes drawing inspiration from the typologies and styles of French design between the two World Wars. Products include the Omnia, Febo and Lutetia sofas, Talamo bed, Pathos table, and Biblia shelving system.
Maxalto is designed and coordinated entirely by Antonio Citterio, who has also been engaged in architectural works dealing with construction projects and interiors both in Italy and abroad. His products are part of the MoMA permanent collection and the Centre_Georges-Pompidou in Paris.
