Are You Eating This Scary Ingredient?
If you have ever dined out, you know restaurants can be heavy-handed with dressings and sauces.
But you might not know how many unwanted calories and ingredients can lurk in that house salad dressing.
All of this got me thinking about the sneaky toxin making its way into sauces, dressings, and restaurant meals and how this ingredient is ruining our health.
The culprit is seed oils, which are worse than sugar when it comes to wellness.
Scary Seed Oils Include:
Canola, Crisco, grape seed, rape seed, sunflower, safflower, corn, vegetable, soybean, rice bran, and peanut oils all create out-of-control inflammation in your body and brain.
These industrially processed seed oils are one of the most significant changes to the human diet in history. Before 1866, the Western world mostly consumed animal fats like tallow, suet, lard, and butter. Eastern societies used cold-pressed fats like coconut and palm oil.
The vegetable oils we use today didn’t exist!!!!!!!!
Seed Oils Are Worse For Us Than Sugar
Most nutritional experts blame the chronic disease epidemic on the increase in sugar consumption, and for good reason. Still, the role of sugar is relatively minor compared to the impact of seed oils. Seed oils have increased 25-fold in the past 150 years, more than the percentage of sugar consumed by humans. These oils leave a trail of dangerous inflammation in our bodies, contributing to obesity, neurological decline, cancer, and diabetes. YIKES!
Simple steps to eliminate seed oils and bulletproof your health from chronic diseases.
Go into your kitchen cabinet and discard all “vegetable” oils and any oils on the list above.
Stop buying inexpensive avocado and olive oil because they are often mixed with cheap seed oils. Invest in good quality olive oil with powerful polyphenols to dial down inflammation and good quality avocado oil.
Order dressings and sauces on the side when dining out. This way, YOU can decide how much you want and if it’s worth it. I often request oil and vinegar on the side and dress my salad that way.
So, back to dressings and sauces. Like everything else, it comes down to quality.
