Bitty & Beau's Coffee Open in Georgetown
The original shop opened in 2016 in Wilmington, NC, and employed 19 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The North Carolina-based company, Bitty & Beau’s Coffee that reinvented the coffee experience, is now open in Georgetown at 3207 M Street.
Named after their two children with Down syndrome, the brand was first launched by the Wright family in 2016 to change the way people see people with disabilities - especially in the workplace.
Brewing up more than just drinks, Bitty & Beau’s Coffee provides a one-of-a-kind experience while paving a path for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to work, become more valued, accepted and included. In addition to coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and smoothies, the shop will sell apparel and drinkware.
