Book Hill Tree Lighting
Georgetown kicks off the holiday season.
Georgetown Main Street celebrated its second annual tree lighting ceremony at the base of Book Hill Park Tuesday night with carols led by Event Specialist, Shelby Davis and Executive Director, Rachel Shank, with comments by Gwen Lohse, head of the local ANC.

"It was wonderful to see so many young families, shop owners and established members of the Georgetown community," said resident Colleen Girouard. "A great turnout on a chilly evening to kick off the Christmas Season."
Following the tree lighting and caroling, neighbors made their way home, warmed by the welcome of brightly lit shops and restaurants in the Wisconsin Avenue neighborhood.
