Five deliciously skinny cocktails debuted Thursday at Morton’s, attracting a spirited crowd to the patio, where Georgetowners sampled the 200 calorie "Spa-tini's" on a refreshingly cool summer evening.

“Everyone is counting calories. With all the spas in town, this is a good fit,” said David Delulio, maitre d’ and general manager. Such a good fit, he told The Georgetown Dish, “they’re permanently added to our menu.”

The secret to the great taste? "Ty Ku, Japanese vodka with half the calories," David explained. Tania Arriaza, traveling sales and marketing manager agreed, “We wanted to lighten our image, attract the ladies, and keep us current.”

Cocktails included "Skynny Blood Orange Cosmo," "Red Velvet," "Skinny Rita," "Antioxidant Me" and "Lean and Green." With tasty tuna, steak and chicken hors d’oeuvres, guests lingered to sample the entire new spa bar menu.
