City Tavern Preservation Foundation Welcomes Their New Executive Director

On a glorious autumn evening on the terrace of the City Tavern Club, members and friends welcomed Leslie Maysak as the new (and first!) Executive Director of City Tavern Preservation Foundation (CTPF).
Over cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres, Zana Metelski, City Tavern Preservation Board President introduced Leslie and explained the Foundation's mission to preserve and steward the City Tavern, the last remaining Federal tavern in Washington, DC, through education and raising funds for repairs and continued restoration and preservation of the Washington landmark.
Leslie thanked guests and shared her priority of "getting more people in here with lectures and programming," and with excitement noted, "the debut of formally recognizing the Foundation. We're no longer project-based whenever the Tavern needed some work, new windows, or HVAC."
