The Georgetown Garden Club Centennial
Georgetown celebrates its Garden Club at an Evermay reception.

The Georgetown Garden Club marked the one hundred year anniversary of its founding with a reception at Evermay. Hosted by Dr. Sachiko Kuno, members of the Club and invited guests from the community were treated to a lively talk by Edwina von Gal, a distinguished landscape architect based in East Hampton, NY.

Ms. von Gal urged her audience to eliminate the use of pesticides, herbicides and artificial fertilizers and return to practices that encourage healthy soil, native plants and that foster birds, bees and beneficial insects. Guests were invited to stroll through the magnificent gardens and see the early spring blooms.

The celebration continues with the annual Georgetown Garden Tour on May 11, 2024. For more information and tickets, click here.
