Georgetown Garden Club Gifts Trees to Library
In celebration of their centennial, the Georgetown Garden Club creates garden at Georgetown Library.
The Georgetown Garden Club planted the Georgetown Library 4 native trees, 35 shrubs, 60 perennials as their gift to the community in gratitude for 100 years of supporting their efforts in the greening of Georgetown.
"We are so pleased to have created a welcoming garden to the stately Georgetown Library, using funds raised from our annual May garden tour to fill the beds with many native plants which will welcome book lovers along with the birds and bees! We are watering daily, hoping the plants get well established over the winter so that when spring comes, this garden will burst forth in all its glory!" -- Lee Child
