Georgetown House Tour Patrons' Party at Anderson House
Georgetown Cupcake Receives the Frida Burling Service Award.
Wednesday evening, under clear skies, Georgetowners celebrated friendship and community at Larz Anderson House. Hosted by St. John’s Episcopal Church, friends gathered at the historic mansion for cocktails, a lavish buffet and live music.
The Patrons’ Party officially opens the annual Georgetown House Tour. The Tour will take place on Saturday, April 26th and tickets are still available.
The generosity of friends and neighbors enables St. John's Episcopal Church to provide assistance to the homeless through partnership with Georgetown Ministry Center; support food security initiatives and maintain its facilities for use by many community groups and a myriad of non-profit organizations with structured activities for people of all ages from all walks of life.
This year's House Tour Chair, Azali Kassum was joined by Patrons' Party Chairs, Malcolm Dilley and Alexander Ragonese in welcoming guests.
Georgetown Cupcake was this year's recipient of the Frida Burling Award, in honor and loving memory of the Tour's founder.
Inspired by their grandmother, Katherine and Sophie opened Georgetown Cupcake on Valentine's Day in 2008. Over the past 17 years, the sisters have made Georgetown Cupcake DC's flagship bakery. They have been active with many local and national charities focusing on children's health. They both serve as Board Members of Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.
