Latin American Design Week
First ever US forum celebrating Latin America’s creative scene and collectible design.
Latin American Design (LAD) Week, featuring programming, visiting designers, featured brands, and sponsors for its inaugural forum and show will take place in Washington, DC on October 11 through 15, 2023 during the last week of Hispanic Heritage Month.
LAD, created by Nova Bossa, is the first forum of its kind in the United States for collectible design from Latin America.
In collaboration with museums, international embassies, private collectors, and corporate sponsors, LAD will present a curatorial program of guided collection visits, design talks, designer receptions, a book launch, an opening party and design awards, and a 2-day Latin American Design Show to be held at AutoShop (416 Morse St, NE) in NoMa.

Inspiring Keynote Speakers: Carla Fernández (Fashion Designer, Author of the Manifesto of Fashion as Resistance, and LAD Designer of the Year recipient, Mexico); Philip Fimmano (Co-founder and Director, Trend Union, World Hope Forum, Edelkoort Editions, Talking Textiles and Farm to Fabrics, Paris); Tanya Melendez Escalante (Senior Curator of Education and Public Programs at The Museum at FIT, NY); and more.
