The McGill/McHale Trio, an international, all-star ensemble of flute, clarinet, and piano, formed in 2014. Anthony McGill, principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic; his brother Demarre McGill, principal flute of the Seattle Symphony; and Michael McHale, one of Ireland’s leading concert pianists, make their Music at Dumbarton Oaks debut with an exciting program of works by American composers Chris Rogerson, Valerie Coleman, and Samuel Barber, as well as music by French composers Francis Poulenc, Augusta Holmès, and Guillaume Connesson.
