The Secret of Great Garbo at Embassy of Sweden

The Embassy of Sweden is hosting: TALK: Greta Garbo - The Secret on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00 pm.

Doors will open at 6:30 pm and registration is required.

”I thought I ’knew’ Greta Garbo.” This is how Swedish author and film maker Lena Einhorn begins the epilogue of her novel Blekinge Street 32. Einhorn spent many hours with this inaccessible woman who was once the world’s greatest movie star in the making of her television documentary. Einhorn thought she knew Garbo, until she read the thirty-three letters from Greta to fellow actress Mimi Pollak and a completely different Greta Garbo emerged.

The author will share the secrets she learned with the audience during this event.
