Ward 4 Councilmember Muriel Bowser won the democratic nomination for D.C. mayor Tuesday, defeating incumbent Vincent Gray.

In May of 2012, The Georgetown Dish conducted a poll asking readers 'Who Should be D.C.'s Next Mayor?' Muriel Bowser received 69% of the votes.
